8/27/24 (Tuesday): Please Read...several Updates:

Hello all, first and foremost, thank you for your patience during out transition/merger. With that, here is your 411:

1. Online Registration: Emails will go out TONIGHT on how to register online. Team managers will receive a separate email as well. Plus, emails will also go out to Free Agents later this week.

2. Free Agents: Emails will go out to all Free Agents on Thursday and Friday stating which teams they will be on. The email will also include how to register.

3. September 8th (Sunday) will be our first round of games for this season.

4. Season Schedule: We'll have the season Schedule posted later next week for all to view. Our goal is to have at least the first 4 weekends posted so you can arrange your schedule accordingly.

8/2/24 (Friday): Some Updates going into Upcoming Season: Here is your 411 for August:

1. Team/Play Registration: We'll have registration open the week of August 12th. More details on process, online & in-person registration will come soon.

- Location: Heritage Lakes Sports Park

- Dates & Times: TBD

- Registration closes on September 8th!

2. Season Start Date: Thus far we are on target to start Sunday, September 8th.

3. Free Agents: Team managers, please reach out to us if you need free agents to fill your roster. Right now we have many men and women who are looking for a team. plus, we'll create one men's and one women's Free Agent team too!

4. Player Insurance $30 each (Mandatory): AYSO5194/MSFA require every player to pay this fee. It covers each player from August 1st to July 31st every fiscal year. It can be paid when you register online or in person. More details on how will be forthcoming soon!

7/11/24 (Thursday): Updates and News on Summer/Fall Season: Here are some quite updates on our upcoming Summer/Fall season:

1. Registration will open in Early August

2. Season's first round of games will commence on Sunday, September 8th

3. Manager's meeting information will come out tomorrow (7/12). Mark your calendar for Tuesday, July 23rd. Time & Location TBD

4. Men's Divisions will have eight (8) teams each.

5. Women's Division will have eight (8) or ten (10) teams.

6. Regular Season Games: At least seven (7) for men and women...possibly more.

7. play-offs same format over two (2) weekends.

5/29/24 (Wednesday): WK 1 of Play-offs, Sunday June 2nd @ Heritage Lakes Sports Park: Here is a quick update and a few reminders regarding this weekend's Week 1 of Play-offs (Sunday, June 2nd). We will be at our usual location (Heritage lakes Sports Park). Here is your 411 for Sunday:

Play-Off Format: Round 1 & 2 will be this Sunday, June 2nd:

- Match Format: Each game will consist of 2 x 25 minute halves. If the score is tied at the end of regular play, two 5 minute over-time halves will be played. If it is still tied after overtime, penalty kicks will occur.

- Round 1 (This Sunday, June 2nd): Single Elimination. Teams that lose go home, Teams that win go on to Round 2 later in the evening.

- Round 2 (This Sunday, June 2nd): Winners move onto the Championship Game on June 9th. Losers will move onto the 3rd place game on June 9th. (Round 3)

- Round 3 will be held on Sunday, June 9th. Location TBD.

Game Times: Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your game. For games with a start time range (ex. 5:00 - 5:30pm), please arrive by 5:00 pm or a little earlier. There is a possibility the game will start at the beginning of this timeframe IF the prior game is decided during regular play. If the prior game goes into overtime and PKs, your start time will be closer to the end of the time frame. Let us know if you have questions regarding start time frames.

Four (4) Fields: We will have four (4) games running at the same time. MSFA-Directors can be found in the center of all four fields. Check in with us there for the field location of your game.

2. Sunday AM: Valleywide will determine if fields will remain closed through Monday.

3. Message to Team Managers/Facebook post/website messaging will go out as soon as we know Sunday morning whether games are on or not.

Indirect Kick (Update): After a few games in Week 1, we've made a subtle adjustment to the rule. The ball must move in any direction before the second player touches the ball.

Housekeeping: Please make sure the area where your team sites is trash free when you leave. This is one of our requirements to utilize these fields.

NO ALCOHOL: We've had an uptick in blatant alcohol consumption at the fields and it's week 1. We must remind everyone Alcohol is not allowed at these parks. This is a Valleywide and City ordinance. They will have enforcement periodically check on any given Sunday. If they do find alcohol being consumed, we can lose our rights to use these fields. If we lose our rights, those who were the cause will be financially responsible. If we see anyone consuming alcohol you will be sent off the fields. If it continues, it will also affect your team being sent home. Let us know if you need more clarity on this rule/ordinance.

1. POSSIBLE POSTPONEMENT (STRONG POSSIBILITY): We will know on Wednesday if this weekend will be postponed until February 25th. As of right now all fields are closed until further notice. We will have a final decision Wednesday night.

2. Registration Fees (Team & Player): Thank you to everyone who paid their fees and/or made arrangements as well. Players who still owe fees will not play on the first day of games unless paid and/or made arrangements to pay.

At the end of the season whoever has the most MVP awards in each division will become the season's MVP; and, they will receive an award for this as well.

6. Game Schedule will be posted by Friday morning pending payments, waivers and photo ids.

4. 2 Men's Divisions with 7 teams in each. There will be cross division games to avoid bye games.

8. NEW: Throw-ins instead of kick-ins. The team managers voted to change this to Throw-ins.

9. NEW: MVP award each game: After each game the referee will pick one player as MVP. Mini-awards will be given. And, those with the most MVP picks will become the Season MVP. More news to come before season start.

December 23rd, 2023: Registration will Open after Christmas: Thank you for your patience. Many family events leading up to Christmas have taken priority. Therefore, team registration will open up after the 25th.

December 17th, 2023 (Sunday): Some Updates for Next Season: We're almost ready to start registering teams for next season. Here is what we have thus far:

1. Team Registration Winter/Spring 2024: $1,200 per team.

- We will open registration later this week (Before Christmas)

2. Team Rosters: Maximum of 18 players per roster.

3. Registration Discounts from last season: Individual emails will be sent this week to each team manager on their team's discounted price based on placement during play-offs. We'll include a few ways to pay this fee.

4. Free Agents: A list of Free Agents will be provided to team managers by the first part of January to fill their rosters.

5. Men's League: We will have two men's divisions with eight (8) teams in each. More news to come on how we will divide the divisions amongst registered teams.

6. Women's League: We will have eight (8) teams again this season. More news on all teams to come in January.

7. Manager's Meeting: We're looking at January 11th (Thursday), 6:30 pm. More news will be forthcoming the first week of January.

November 21st, 2023 (Tuesday): Champions are Crowned: Epic games had by all teams who competed in Sunday's Play-off Championships. My hat is off to what I think was one of the best/EPIC championship games to date! The men's final score was 2 - 1. The women's final score was 4 - 2.

August 1st, 2023 (Tues): Calling all Free Agents and more info: We're getting closer to the start of our 2nd season of 2023. We've grown into a larger league with 12 men's teams and 8 women's teams as well.

Here are a few points of mention for now:

1. Registration Fees: Thank you to those who have paid thus far...much appreciated.

1.a. Registration through web-links: I'll have updates for those managers who chose to have payments collected via a weblink. This will be forthcoming at the end of this week.

2. Team Count (Men 12, Women 8). One of the two of the men's teams (new ones) decided not to join this season. The 12th team is a Free Agent team being created currently.

3. Men's Free Agents: We are looking for a few more free agents to join our league. Please reach out if interested in participating as soon as possible: MenifeeAdultSoccer@gmail.com

4. Golden Boot Award: We'll also have this in place with an outline on how it works sometime later next week.

5. Updated League Rules/Regulations: We will have this updated as well next week. I'll have a link for all to review and e-sign as well.

6. August Game Times pending heat waive (Tentative/Suggested): Pending approval by Valley-wide, we will run four fields at the same time in the month of August due to the excessive heatwave. Our goal is to start games at 6:00 pm only in August until the heat wave goes away. We will have a final decision on this by Monday, August 7th.

7. Schedule will be posted by Wednesday of next week.

July 24th, 2023 (Mon.): Finalizing Teams & Start Date: We're getting closer to 2023 second season which should tentatively start on Sunday, August 13th. Here is a quick 411 for now:

1. Manager's Meeting Notes: Later this week I'll have updates from the manager's meeting which will include online team registration, updated rules/regulations, Waiver links and more. Thank you to those teams that have already paid!

2. Teams: We're finalizing men's and women's teams this week. As of right now we have 11 men's teams confirmed and 9 women's teams confirmed. The rest of the teams should be created/confirmed by early next week.

3. Men's Free Agents: We will reach out to you by the end of this week.

4. Women's free agents: You should have been contacted already. If you have not, please let us know.

5. Start Date (Tentative): As of right now our goal is to start on Sunday, August 13th. We will have the final decision with Valley-wide by the end of next week.

June 15th, 2023 (Thursday): Next Season Information coming Soon!: Our next season will commence the weekend of August 13th. There will be at least 12 men's teams and 8 women's teams. Here is what will be posted by end of June:

1. Team Registration: We will have the Team Registration Portal up and running by the end of June. Since we have a waiting list for teams to join the league, we will require a $100 deposit to secure your place in the league.
2. Free Agents: All free agents will be provided to Team Managers in order to fill rosters. Registration fees and team uniform fees will be arranged through the team managers. Not all Free agents will be selected now that we have almost reach our maximum number of teams for this coming up season.
3. Field Allocation: We'll have more information on which fields we will utilize by the first part of July.

Play-off Tentative New Format: Thus far those who have provided input on the new format were positive. We'll send out a survey to assure everyone's input is heard prior to solidifying the new format.

- Suggested new format: 8 teams advance to play-offs. First round is single elimination (no byes). Second round winners go to the championship game while losers go to 3rd place game the following week. Between the first and second round there will be at least one hour rest. We will have four (4) fields for rounds 1 & 2.

Additions to Referee Pool: Some of you may have noticed we had one new referee last weekend. We are assessing two new referees to add into our pool. Both come with high recommendations. Our goal is to have a healthy amount of referees in order to provide a more rounded & positive experience for all.

Now, let's congratulate our men's and women's champions: Vertical FC & Natures Beauty. Both teams had an outstanding year against strong competition. Kudos to both on a job well done.

November 1st (Tuesday) 2022: Week 9 Standings & Week 10 Schedule: Another weekend in the books with a few upsets as well. On the men's side the top two teams received a rare loss. Some teams moved up the board while others dropped a spot. On the women's side there were several well fought games to a draw with only one clear winning game. The standings are tight in both men's and women's divisions for those shooting to be in the top 6 for play-offs. This weekend's games could shuffle rankings even more. August 16th (Tuesday) 2022:: SEASON STARTS - Schedules & more...: We are finally ready to officially start our 3rd season this Sunday the 21st. We have 7 men's and 8 women's teams competing for top spot on the road to play-offs. Here is the 411 going into this weekend:

Men's Games (12 Week Season): The men's season will go two weeks longer than the women's season since we have 7 teams. Each weekend there will be a bye for one team leading up to the 12th week. The schedule for this weekend is as follows:

August 9th (Tuesday) 2022: No Scrimmages this weekend! We had a fantastic turnout this past Sunday during our weekend of scrimmages. Three fields in all with over 50 participants.

This weekend we WILL NOT HAVE SCRIMMAGES! We will have this weekend off before our season officially starts the following Sunday, August 21st.

Also, final day to completely register as a FREE AGENT will end on Tuesday, August 16th!!!!

July 8th, 2022: Registration is OPEN! It official, we are ready to register Free Agents and teams for this upcoming Summer/Fall season. Registration process is as follows:

1. Free Agents: If you completed a Free Agent Form, an email will be sent to you today on how to register. You can either click the link within the email; or, go to our "Register Today!" page and select Free Agent Registration. This season's Free Agent fee is $85.

2. Team Registration: Returning and/or new teams will need to email us at MenifeeAdultSoccer@gmail.com. During our first Manager's Meeting on Thursday, July 14th, we will discuss the process and fees. This will include pricing, roster photos, team roster page and more.

3. Manager's Meeting: Our first pre-season manager's meeting will be next Thursday, July 14th @ 5:45pm. We will have it at Archibald's off of Newport Ave (Location: Archibald's - 28881 Newport Rd., Menifee CA 92584). in Menifee. We will have an email or two out prior to the meeting that covers an agenda.

June 29th, 2022: Updates going into new season: We're slowly getting back into the "office" of MSFA. Over the next few weeks we will have more information on registration, teams, fees and more. Plus, this season each team will have their own team pages to assist with player IDs prior to start of games.

January 20th (Wednesday) 2022: Pre-Season Scrimmages this Sunday: We're ready to play; and, this weekend we'll have an impromptu scrimmages at La Ladera park. Here is the information:

January 14th (Friday) 2022: Several Updates on Upcoming Season! We're getting closer to several playing opportunities over the next few weeks. Here are some quick points of interest:

1. Sunday January 23rd First Scrimmage of New Year!

- Location and time TBD

- Scrimmages are open to everyone. We'll have one field the first weekend to accommodate those who attend. Location and time will be confirmed by Wednesday, January 19th.

2. Registration Fees: Registration fees for this upcoming season is as follows:

- Free Agents: $85.00

- Team (up to 16 players): $850.00

- Registration includes 10 regular season games and play-off games. And, all referee fees are included as well.

- If you have a team to register, email us at MenifeeAdultSoccer@gmail.com. Please include the names of each player plus the team manager.

3. Manager's Meeting: We're confirming a day/time for the week of January 24th. A separate email will be sent to each manager by early next week.

January 2nd (Sunday) 2022: Happy New Year & Time to get in shape! Hello everyone. Well we made it into 2022. And, like most people, we've added a few pounds here, there and possibly everywhere. To help ease us into the upcoming season in February I've included here and at the footer of each page a core workout that everyone can utilize. I've used this for over 10 years and it works (especially for a 50-something year olds)!

1. Team/Play Registration: We'll have registration open the week of August 12th. More details on process, online & in-person registration will come soon.

2. Season Start Date: Thus far we are on target to start Sunday, September 8th.

3. Free Agents: Team managers, please reach out to us if you need free agents to fill your roster. Right now we have many men and women who are looking for a team. plus, we'll create one men's and one women's Free Agent team too!

4. Player Insurance $30 each (Mandatory): AYSO5194/MSFA require every player to pay this fee. It covers each player from August 1st to July 31st every fiscal year. It can be paid when you register online or in person. More details on how will be forthcoming soon!

7/11/24 (Thursday): Updates and News on Summer/Fall Season: Here are some quite updates on our upcoming Summer/Fall season:

1. Registration will open in Early August

2. Season's first round of games will commence on Sunday, September 8th

3. Manager's meeting information will come out tomorrow (7/12). Mark your calendar for Tuesday, July 23rd. Time & Location TBD

4. Men's Divisions will have eight (8) teams each.

5. Women's Division will have eight (8) or ten (10) teams.

6. Regular Season Games: At least seven (7) for men and women...possibly more.
